The sound management of chemicals sub-component will be executed under the
Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management Quick Start Programme
(QSP) Trust Fund. Activities funded through the QSP Trust Fund will develop
and strengthen national chemicals management institutions, plans, programmes
and activities, and provide opportunities for coordination and collaboration
on policies and governance.
The funding of the sound management of chemicals sub-component will be channeled
with other contributions through the QSP Trust Fund, which was established
by the first session of the International Conference on Chemicals Management
to support sound chemicals management initial enabling capacity-building
and implementation activities in developing countries. Targets of the QSP
are least developed countries, small island developing States, and countries
with economies in transition.
The total funding for the sound management of chemicals sub-component is
2.15 million Euros over fours years.
