2007 Laureates
The United Nations Environment Programme announced on 1 February 2007 that seven leaders whose achievements range from chemical safety, sustainable waste management and the greening of sporting events to the conservation of deserts, rainforests and the global climate were to be honoured as UNEP Champions of the Earth 2007.

The seven Champions of the Earth for 2007 were honoured during a special awards ceremony in Singapore on 19 April 2007, during which they received the Champions of the Earth trophy and made brief acceptance presentations.
