Green Customs Regional Workshop
The main objective of the workshop is awareness-raising, in conformity with the objective of the Green Customs Initiative. As participation is beyond the national level to include neighbouring countries in the Latin America region, an additional objective is to improve cooperation between the countries in the region, and to encourage countries to organize similar national Green Customs workshops in their countries. |

Subregional Workshop on Access to Environmental Justice
Three Subregional workshops on Access to Environmental Justice were organized in LAC region during 2007 (Mesoamerican, Southern Cone and Caribbean). Judges, Prosecutors and key legal stakeholders of the Andean countries will meet as well in March 2008. They will exchange experiences and lessons learnt in the implementation of environmental law at their national levels and discuss challenges ahead in this key aspect of Rio Declaration Principle 10. |
