How to use the Disaster Management System

The main function of this system is the Search
There are two kinds of searches that can be conducted on this site:
  • Simple Search
    The simple search allows the user to type in a keyword and then search for records withat keyword contained in them.
  • Advanced Search
    The advanced search in addition to allowing a text based search also allows a user to select other key fields with which to narrow the search.
    These keyfields are presented as predefined lists that allow you to pick a combination of keywords that you would like to find. The list includes the following:
    • Disaster Addressed
    • Country
    • Type of institution
    • Area of Expertise
    • Scope of work

In addition it is possible to download the questionnaire, fill it in and send it back to us and we will update the Disaster Management System.
