Dams and Development
The UNEP Dams and Development Project - established in November 2001 under DEPI - aims to promote a dialogue on improving decision-making, planning and management of dams and their alternatives based on the World Commission on Dams (WCD) core values and strategic priorities. It seeks to engage stakeholders in the dams debate at national, regional and global level and facilitate the flow of information among them through networking.
The project is also tasked with the dissemination of the WCD report and related materials in different languages.
