Experts on Biodiversity meet in Malaysia


3 February 2004 - From 9 to 20 February 2004, world experts on biodiversity and sustainable development will meet in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for the seventh meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity.

Key issues include: the biological diversity of mountain ecosystems, the role of protected areas in the preservation of biological diversity, the transfer of technology and technology cooperation, as well as implementation to achieve - by 2010 - a significant reduction in the rate of loss of biodiversity.
