Strategy

Are our policies, practices and resources adequate to cope with growing environmental emergencies or do we need to develop new strategies to meet these challenges? The strategies and policies we adopt should address all aspects of emergency management:prevention, preparedness, assessment, mitigation and response. The challenge posed by environmental emergencies must be addressed not only by affected governments and peoples, but by the entire international community at local, national and global levels, particularly in developing countries and countries with economies in transition.
