Happy "Environmentally-Friendly" Holidays

UNEP Launches Two Key Publications during the Festive Season Calling for Sustainable Consumption

UNEP is marking the festive season by launching two publications on Sustainable Consumption.

Changing consumption and production patterns is one of the overarching objectives of sustainable development.

Agenda 21 states that: "the major cause of the continued deterioration of the global environment is the unsustainable pattern of consumption and production, particularly in industrialized countries, which is a mater of grave concern, aggravating poverty and imbalances." (Chapter4.3)

The publications launched are:

A Resource Kit on Sustainable Consumption and Production
TUNZA for Youth magazine: Special Issue on Sustainable Consumption
