Two of the world’s most influential figures and commentators on environment and sustainable development issues, often holding sharply differing views, will engage in a unique debate on June 21, 2004.

Mr Lomborg is the author of the best selling book the “Skeptical Environmentalist” and Director of Denmark’s Environmental Assessment Institute.

Klaus Toepfer is the Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and former Environment Minister of Germany.

Members of the international media are cordially invited to witness this unique event which is part of the Johannes Gutenberg Lecture Series.
