Climate Change Convention, Buenos Aires, Argentina, 6-17 Dec. 2004
The Tenth Session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 10) marks the 10th anniversary of the entry into force of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), which will serve as a central theme for the meeting. In addition to the accomplishments of the past ten years and future challenges, discussions at COP 10 will highlight a range of climate-related issues including, the impacts of climate change and adaptation measures, mitigation policies and their impacts, and technology. Participants will also take stock of the entry into force of the Kyoto Protocol.
The high-level segment will take place from 15–17 December and will include four panel discussions among ministers and other heads of delegations.
