Launching of the Youth Sustainable Consumption Handbook, Video and Survey

 In Febrruary 1999, at UNEP's last Governing Council, UNEP was given the task of developing a Sustainable Consumption Strategy for Youth. After 17 months, the Youth and Sustainable Consumption Project has now come to an end. It has successfully been launched in almost 20 countries around the world in collaboration with members of UNEP's Youth Advisory Council, intergovernmental organizations, the UN Commission for Sustainable Development, as well as partners in governments and industry. The outcome of the campaign includes a youth handbook and video as well as a world-wide youth survey.
