doesnt surprise me. I am going to try plunilg back the grunge some, the type just seemed a little in contrast with the oldness of the images at first, so I was trying to bring them closer that way, but I agree it got a little much.Same with color choice. I am happy with the first, the rest now seem a bit loud. I think I will restrain the palette more, use muted colors more in line with the first one. I think this may help bridge the image type gap (aesthetically speaking) as well.I was very close to mixing up the fonts more, but I was aiming to draw a line of consistency through them. I think Futura works for the 1st, as the word bold itself is there, and the massiveness of the text seems to threaten/challenge the ax guy. These were all really helpful points. My resulting question is, do you think the concept and style of the images are enough to make them cohesive, or does that need reenforcement by some other means? The challenge is getting them to look like they belong together, yet interesting on their own. This little exercise was started on a whim, but now im thinking, with the right refinement, and the right application, I could turn it into a decent little project. Again, thanks for the feedback.
