Partners

Sustainable development requires the active participation and co-operation of all relevant actors at the international, regional and national levels. From their different perspectives, international organizations, the Governments and civil society organizations, at all levels, must contribute and work closely together in order to achieve the common objective of promoting sustainable development.

As the challenges and opportunities become increasingly complex, alliances and partnerships at the international level become more and more important.

Most of UNEP environmental law activities are co-sponsored by external donors or organized and carried out in co-operation with other organizations. Several individuals and organizations participate as observers at UNEP’s meetings.These include:
