2nd Ad-hoc Legal and Technical Working Group Meeting on ICZM Protocol to the Nairobi Convention

6-7 December 2010,

Information for participants

1. Introduction
Organised by the Regional Programme for the Sustainable Management of the Coastal Zones of the Countries of the Indian Ocean (ReCoMaP), the Nairobi Convention Secretariat and the Government of the Republic of Kenya.

2. Travel
Economy class travel has been arranged for sponsored participants.

3. Accommodation
Accommodation for all participants has been arranged at Sai Rock Hotel, Mombasa, Kenya.
A single room on bed and breakfast basis has been booked for each participant.

For participants who are fully sponsored by ReCoMaP, full payment of the room on Bed and Breakfast basis from the date of arrival to the date of departure has been already effected.

Participants who have been invited to participate to the LBSA Protocol meeting which will be on the 8th Dec 2010 will receive a DSA of 152USD from the Nairobi Convention Secretariat to cover the cost for 2 nights,8th and 9th Dec 2010 (accommodation ,meals and other costs).

4. Meeting venue
The meeting will be held in the conference room which is found on the 1st floor of the Hotel.

5. DSA
ReCoMaP will pay a DSA of 110 Euro/day during your stay in Mombasa which will cover the cost of lunch and dinner during the non meeting days and other charges.

The Nairobi convention will pay a DSA to participants from Mozambique, France and NC and also participants who will attend the LBSA Protocol meeting.

6. Boarding Pass

Due to very strict E.C administrative and financial procedures it is compulsory to send back boarding passes to ReCoMaP after returning to the countries of origin. Boarding passes from countries of origin to Mombasa will be collected on the 1st day of the meeting when receiving the DSA.

Those who have not submitted their return boarding passes from the meeting in Mauritius, please give them to Mr. Patrick Kimani who is in charge for the disbursement of the DSA

7. Airport Transfers
Shuttle arrangements have been made from/to the airport by the hotel at a rate of 16 Euro for 1-3person per way. The hotel shall charge the participants directly.

8. Break
Morning and afternoon tea breaks and lunches will be provided to all participants on the meeting days.

Participants will be responsible to pay extra charges : mini bar, alcoholic drinks, soft drinks, and other services before checking out the hotel.
