to offer you the chance to win a basket of treats worth $150. The aim of The Body Shop Community Trade programme is to support sustainable development by sourcing ingredients and accessories from disadvantaged communities around the world. A new addition to the programme is Community Traded henna used in the new range of henna colour products launched this month. The henna is gathered by nomadic people in Somalia and supplied by Asli Mills, trading arm to Candlelight for Health and Education (CLHE), an NGO in Somalia. Candlelights initiative has already given some 70 nomadic people the benefit of an additional income as well as access to education and health programmes they would not normally benefit from. Henna leaves are collected from trees that grow wild in mountainous regions and Candlelight/Asli Mills monitor the collecting to ensure that the trees and the local environment are not damaged. The Body Shop celebrated this new Community Traded ingredient by giving away a basket of its products worth $150 to the winner of this competition.

The decision of the judges is final. This competition was closed to all those working for UNEP, Banson, KPC Group, SMI, The Body Shop, and all other companies and organizations associated with the production of Our Planet magazine and their families.
