Activities - Milestones

This project contributes to implementation of the objectives of Sub-programme 3 consistent with the mandate of UNEP contained in, General Assembly resolution 2997 (XXVII) of 15 December 1972; General Assembly Resolution 3436 (XXX) of 9 December 1975; UNEP/GC.17/25, 19/1, 19/20, 20/22, and SS.V/2; Agenda 21.   Among others the Sub-programme is mandated to enhance governments capacity  for implementation of  environmental policy and for ensuring compliance with environmental policy and instruments, through environmental education, training workshops and seminars, collating and distributing information, advisory services, and streamlining institutions dealing with environmental management at national level.
