    World Health Organization LogoUNEP together with WHO have partnered to promote hygiene awareness and education to help reduce harmful environmental agents by increasing children’s knowledge and ability to protect themselves from environmental hazards.

  • UNESCO

    UNESCOUNEP partnered with UNESCO on the UNESCO Youth and Lifestyles: 'Is the Future yours?' Survey in 2000, which engaged the youth on questions regarding sustainable management of the environment for a better future. UNEP also partners with UNESCO in educating children on the importance of the environment and other pertinent environmental issues.

  • Bayer

    BayerBayer became the first private company to work with UNEP on environmental schemes for young people. Bayer provides support to promote environmental projects, which include among others photo competitions and painting competitions for young people.

  • Volvo

    VolvoUNEP partners with Volvo in the Volvo Adventure for young environmentalists, which is an award for young people between 10-16 years. The partnership also provides for projects linked to the Volvo Adventure Program such as publication of winning stories on the award and the International Children’s Conference on the environment.

  • Nikon

    Nikon LogoUNEP partners with Nikon Corporation to organize together with other partners the annual children’s painting competition, which has been held annually since 1990. The painting competition is a successful venture that has helped and continues to help children become more sensitized on the environment.

  • Yayasan Anak Warisan Alam (YAWA)

    Yayasan Anak Warisan AlamUNEP has entered into partnership with YAWA to organize the 2006 Tunza International Children’s Conference in Putrajaya, Malaysia from 26 to 30 August 2006. YAWA is the first Malaysian youth organization to receive the UNEP Global 500 environment award Roll of Honor for Environmental Achievement.

  • The Natural World Museum (NWM)

    The Natural World Museum (NWM)The Natural World Museum (NWM) is a cultural institution that produces innovative programmes, through art, to engage and inspire environmental awareness. The importance of Children and Youth is at the focal point of NWM's vision. Planet Art is a school year arts and environmental education programme for classrooms locally in San Francisco. In collaboration with Full Circle Learning (FLC), Planet art has grown to be a global program in countries like India, Chile, Kenya and Afghanistan.

    Unilever Tea Kenya CompanyUnilever Tea Kenya Company works closely with UNEP towards the common goal of afforestation. UNEP and Unilever Tea Kenya Company Limited have partnered on tree planting projects, most notably the Plant for the Planet Campaign and the Unilever Trees 2000 Project.

    Green Belt MovementGreen Belt Movement have partnered with UNEP on the Plant for the Planet Campaign to inspire local communities and school children to plant and care for trees. The partnership aims to contribute towards the greening of cities, and to enhance awareness of the importance of trees to the society at large.

  • World Organization of the Scout Movement

    World Organization of the Scout MovementUNEP partnered with the World Organization of the Scout Movement to develop joint activities in order to promote environmental activities and actions among members of the scout movement, including organizing public awareness campaigns and participating in environmental thematic days. On 7 July 2004, UNEP signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the World Organization of the Scout Movement, the largest youth organization in the world.

  • World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts

    World Association of Girl Guides and Girl ScoutsUNEP has worked with the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) for several decades to promote the involvement of WAGGGS' members on environmental issues. WAGGGS is an accredited member of the UNEP Governing Council and participates in several activities on the environment by UNEP.

    Environment Online (ENO)UNEP signed a partnership M.O.U with ENO in February 2005. According to this agreement ENO and UNEP unite some activities like tree planting events and raise awareness on UNEP’s Thematic days (World water day, World Environment Day and so on).

UNEP also works closely together with this organization to publish children’s environmental art books, which highlight important environmental themes.
