The mission of
the Africa branch of DEWA (DEWA-Africa) is to improve access to meaningful
environmental data and information, and increase capacity in Africa to use
environmental information for decision-making and action.
Africa Environment Information Network (AEIN) framework
Focuses on "capacity building for integrated environmental assessments and reporting". Also recognizes that a framework approach includes two other critical platforms — effective and efficient "data exchange mechanisms, and information and communication technologies".
