Eco society ECO WAY, Bijeljina Plant for the Planet

The Eco society ECO WAY, Bijeljina planted 1000 trees in Bijeljina, Bosnia and Herzegovina on November 10, 2007. The society also gave 500 plants to schools and citizens of Bijeljina to plant trees in their yards.

On Saturday November 17, 2007 Eco society will be planting an extra 1000 trees. This will fulfill half the trees the society pledged to Plant for the Planet. The society is hoping to plant the other half of the pledge once the local administration allocates them a location for the tree planting.

The action of planting trees in Bijeljina has an additional advantage of converting a location that was illegally a place of dumping trash to a usefully green area.
