  Art and Environnement Association
The Art and Environment Association organizes artistic exhibits and events for creating broad public awareness of the need to preserve the environment and natural resources. It coordinates public awareness campaigns through artistic exhibits and raises funds to undertake field projects such as reforestation projects and environmental education programmes for children. The Association has been supporting the Billion Tree Campaign since its inception.

This web site lists some simple steps to take to reduce the damage being done by weeds that have spread from parks and gardens into Blue Mountains bushland, and the serious impact they are having on their fragile ecosystems.
 

Alliance for Community Trees
The Alliance for Community Trees is a national non-profit federation of over 120 non-profit organizations dedicated to tree planting, care, and protection in the United States of America. Our affiliates are in most major US cities and work with volunteers to plant trees to improve urban areas and beautify communities.

  American Forests
American Forests works to protect, restore and enhance the natural capital of trees and forests. Healthy forests filter water, remove air pollution, sequester carbon, and provide homes for wildlife. Help plant trees to restore areas damaged by wildfire, where critical wildlife habitat has been lost, and to clean our air and water.
  Association Pour la Terre
Association Pour la Terre, a non-profit association, is dedicated to preserving and protecting our planet through active participation in projects ranging from environmental protection to educating children on principles of Sustainable Development through the production of artists for CDs, DVDs, musical productions, and related School Kits as an integral part of UNESCO's Decade of Education for Sustainable Development.
  Baldwald - project (Germany)
The German „baldwald“ – project („baldwald“ means “soon wood”) is advertising, mediating and accompanying sponsorships for the planting of new woods. The project also reforest land in Germany and is the portal for all, who wants to support the lay out of new woods.
 

British Council Connecting Classrooms Project
The year 2006 saw the start of an exciting new British Council project, Connecting Classrooms. Over the next five years, the project will engage up to 1.5 million young people in 19 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa and the UK.
The project hopes to establish a forum for debate, exchange of information, capacity building and cooperation between schools in Sub-Saharan Africa and the United Kingdom in the pursuit of their goal to encourage sustainable management of our environment .The British Council’s Connecting Classrooms project will continue to encourage their network of over 1,000 schools to plant trees under the umbrella of the Billion Tree Campaign.

  Centre for Advancement of Rural Women (Iran)
The Mission of CAWIRAN is to promote rural women's access to education, health, legal and skill building resources. We empower rural women by creating opportunities and thereby encourage women's full participation in the processes of civil society.
  Dream Trees
Dream Trees, a Kenyan NGO, is committed to planting 2,000,000 trees under the umbrella of the Billion Tree Campaign, to awaken and educate communities on the importance of trees. To date Dream Trees has planted 10,000 trees in Bamba, in the coastal region of Kenya and plans to plant another 130,000 trees in Laikipia, on the foothills of Mount Kenya.
  Eco FilmFest and Expo
Eco FilmFest & Expo are working to use the media to raise awareness of the issues that threaten life support systems and hence our very survival.They provide the best solutions and generate sustainable answers,giving the possibility of both enhanced understanding of the issues and being personally responsible for global wellbeing.
 

Eco-Sys Foundation.

  ENO-Environment Online
ENO-Environment Online is a global virtual school for sustainable development and environmental awareness. Four environmental themes are studied within a school year on a weekly basis. About 300 schools from 90 countries take part.
  Foundation for Global Peace and Environment (FGPE)
The Foundation for Global Peace and Environment (FGPE) makes special efforts to raise environmental leaders among children around the world. All FGPE activities share a common theme: “Living Together on the Earth.”
 

Friends of Nairobi Arboretum (FONA)
FONA recruits friends, raises funds from friends, local companies and donor agencies and works to inform the public and implement the objectives of the Arboretum Masterplan.

A national, nonprofit advocacy organization dedicated to protecting the planet from environmental degradation; preserving biological, cultural, and ethnic diversity; and empowering citizens to have an influential voice in discussions affecting the quality of their environment and their lives.

  Friends of Nature
Friends of Nature (FON) is the oldest environmental NGO in China. Aimed to promote environmental awareness, it's focused on protecting endangered species and environmental education through camps and fieldtrips throughout teacher-training and awareness-raising campaigns. FON's greatest achievement is helping to foster a growing network of grassroots environmental NGOs throughout China. We strongly believe that environmental education increases awareness, and awareness increases citizen participation to achieve an environmentally harmonious society.
  Forest Conservation Portal 
Forest.org works to end deforestation, preserve primary and old-growth forests, conserve and sustainably manage other forests, and to commence the age of ecological restoration.

  Gabriel Tree of Life Foundation
Gabriel Tree of Life Foundation aims at involving the community and schools in planting trees for both recreation and habitat. The foundation encourages the education and value of planting native trees back into the communities.
  Green Mobile
Green Mobile is an association with the Woodland Trust and Friends of the Earth. They are the UK's first environmentally friendly phone service (landline, mobiles and broadband). For each customer that joins, Green Mobile gives £25 (mobile only) and 6% of all service bills to a green charity. The Woodland Trust plant approximately six trees for every customer that signs up with them.
  Hike for Katreena
New Orleans lost over 50,000 trees due to Hurricane Katrina and planting 2,175 trees will be Monique Pilié's contribution to restoring New Orleans, her hometown. She embarked April 9 2006 on a 2,175-mile hike of the Appalachian Trail, and with sponsorships and donations made for each step she takes, Pilié will buy live oaks and other trees to replace those killed by Katrina.
 

Klub Gaja
Klub Gaja is a non-government organization founded in Poland in 1988.  Their mission is to protect our planet, the Earth and preserve the natural environment for the future generations.  It works for the protection of nature, human rights and animal rights using unconventional methods and various forms of art when conducting various activities, workshops, events, campaigns and projects.

 

La Cruz Habitat Protection Project, Inc.
La Cruz Habitat Protection Project (LCHPP) is a successful Mexican project that is responsible for planting 2.5 million seedling pine and oyamel fir trees in and around the Monarch Biosphere Reserve and its buffer zone.

 

Micro Economy
Micro Economy (MIE) is an association from the Czech Republic that has a project for planting trees in Tunisia. MIE focuses on improving the environment as well as improving the economy in that region by increasing employment. MIE believes that it is better to give work to people as opposed to send them and food as this gives them motivation to fend for themselves.

The mission of The Nature Conservancy is to preserve the plants, animals, and natural communities that represent the diversity of life on Earth by protecting the lands and waters they need to survive. The Conservancy protects specific places where plant and animal species can survive for generations to come. Together To Protect Human & the Environment Association-Together
Together is an association that coordinates the efforts of environmental NGOs and other associations in Iraq. Together supports the Billion Tree Campaign and through environmental education enhances the capacity of the population of Iraq to protect the environment and maintain harmony between human beings and their environment.

Vitré-Tuvalu is a local NGO based in western France.
