It coordinates public awareness campaigns through artistic exhibits and raises funds to undertake field projects such as reforestation projects and environmental education programmes for children. The Association has been supporting the Billion Tree Campaign since its inception. |

British Council Connecting Classrooms Project
The year 2006 saw the start of an exciting new British Council project, Connecting Classrooms. Over the next five years, the project will engage up to 1.5 million young people in 19 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa and the UK.
The project hopes to establish a forum for debate, exchange of information, capacity building and cooperation between schools in Sub-Saharan Africa and the United Kingdom in the pursuit of their goal to encourage sustainable management of our environment .The British Council’s Connecting Classrooms project will continue to encourage their network of over 1,000 schools to plant trees under the umbrella of the Billion Tree Campaign. |

Carlson Hotels Worldwide in its global environmental initiative is dedicated to planting trees worldwide under the Billion Tree Campaign and is also partnering with The Carbon Neutral Company to offset carbon equivalent to 10,000 room nights. Dream Trees
Dream Trees, a Kenyan NGO, is committed to planting 2,000,000 trees under the umbrella of the Billion Tree Campaign, to awaken and educate communities on the importance of trees.
To date Dream Trees has planted 10,000 trees in Bamba, in the coastal region of Kenya and plans to plant another 130,000 trees in Laikipia, on the foothills of Mount Kenya.

(landline, mobiles and broadband). For each customer that joins, Green Mobile gives £25
(mobile only) and 6% of all service bills to a green charity. The Woodland
Trust plant approximately six trees for every customer that signs up with them. |

Hike for Katreena
New Orleans lost over 50,000 trees due to Hurricane Katrina and planting 2,175 trees will be Monique Pilié's contribution to restoring New Orleans, her hometown. She embarked April 9 2006 on a 2,175-mile hike of the Appalachian Trail, and with sponsorships and donations made for each step she takes, Pilié will buy live oaks and other trees to replace those killed by Katrina. |

Melody for Dialogue among Civilizations Association
Melody for Dialogue among Civilizations Association in partnership with the Billion Tree Campaign (UNEP) and UNESCO, is organizing a high level forum on music and sustainable development. This will be done along with a multi-cultural concert (music for a green planet) in a dialogue between musicians from global community and Prague Philharmonic Orchestra on 1 October 2009.
The concert aims at promoting awareness and commitment for safeguarding our environment, especially by mobilizing funds for planting of trees around the globe. The forum will take place at the International Conference Centre and the concert at Victoria Hall, Geneva, Switzerland.

Micro Economy
Micro Economy (MIE) is an association from the Czech Republic that has a project for planting trees in Tunisia. MIE focuses on improving the environment as well as improving the economy in that region by increasing employment. MIE believes that it is better to give work to people as opposed to send them and food as this gives them motivation to fend for themselves.

The Treetures Environmental Education Program
The Treetures program has been bringing tree planting information to children for 20 years through the vehicle of illustrated whimsical characters. It includes the use of Treetures costumes to add a festive dimension to tree planting events along with coloring page flyers and other educational material.
The 300 page Treetures web site is used by children, educators and organizations both in the US and internationally. It encourages tree planting and tree care through an entertaining and educational format.
