On 17 April, ISB signed a MOU with Koperasi Pelancongan Mukim Batu Puteh Bhd funding 10,000 trees to be planted along the banks of the Kinabatangan river in Sabah in support of the WWF corridor of life project.
Six ISB IB Diploma students accompanied Mr Taylor (ISB Executive Principal) to the signing ceremony and used this opportunity to plant 700 trees as part of their commitment to community service.
Mr Taylor mentioned that projects and partnerships such as this give young people first hand experience of being involved not just in conservation but also the issues and politics associated with it.
"An increasing number of our students are opting for university courses that are environmentally orientated in such areas law, planning and sustainability which is good news for our planet" said David Taylor.
