| Friends of Nature ( 自然之友) Friends of Nature (FON) is the oldest environmental NGO in China. FON's greatest achievement is helping to foster a growing network of grassroots environmental NGOs throughout China. | Hike for Katreena New Orleans lost over 50,000 trees due to Hurricane Katrina and planting 2,175 trees will be Monique Pilié's contribution to restoring New Orleans, her hometown. She embarked April 9 2006 on a 2,175-mile hike of the Appalachian Trail, and with sponsorships and donations made for each step she takes, Pilié will buy live oaks and other trees to replace those killed by Katrina. |
