UNEP-BPSP THEMATIC STUDIES
Integration of Biodiversity into National Fishery Sectors
| Managing Fisheries for Biodiversity - 11 Case Studies
The 11 case studies listed below were presented at the Blue Millennium: Managing Global Fisheries for Biodiversity thematic workshop, funded by the GEF (throughUNEP) and IDRC, held in Victoria, BC in June 2001. Each case study investigates the extent to which biodiversity considerations have been incorporated (or not) in the fishery sector of a particular country or region. The case stdies thus provide important practical experience from which other biodiversity planners, facing the same challenges, can learn. The case studies are listed alphabetically by author. Clicking on the links below (Full Case Study) or (Summary) will open up an Adobe Acrobat Reader file which can be read on-screen or printed. _________________________________________ 1.
