Ms. Janine Benyus
President, Biomimicry Institute

Janine Benyus, a pioneer and champion of the biomimicry movement, is a natural sciences writer, innovation consultant, and author of six books, including, Biomimicry: Innovation Inspired by Nature. At the helm of the eco-design revolution, she has inverted the way we think about design, advocating that we draw inspiration from nature’s wisdom and adopt nature’s processes to solve some of our greatest challenges.

As the President of the Biomimicry Institute in Montana, Benyus consults with sustainable business, academic and government leaders on what we can learn from nature’s genius and how to treat nature as model and mentor –not as a mine to be stripped of its resources. She also serves on the Eco-Dream team at Interface Inc. and conducts seminars on these creative and innovative topics.
