Nominations

UNEP invites nominations from individuals who have made a significant contribution globally, regionally and beyond, to the protection and sustainable management of the environment and natural resources. Deadline for receipt of nominations for 2010 is on 31 October 2009. Candidates will be judged by a senior UNEP panel.

Persons may nominate themselves, their own organizations, or a third party whom they believe should receive recognition. All nominations must be supported by three referees.

Press clippings, testimonials and photographs may be sent to support the nomination. Please do not send books, videos etc. Short-listed applicants will be contacted for further supporting information.
