Pesticide-related activities - Toxicology in the Classroom

About the CD
Infants and children are particularly vulnerable to pesticides and other toxic chemicals because their bodies are smaller and still developing. Children also face greater exposure than adults due to their hand-to-mouth behaviors. Children living in farming areas or whose patents work in agriculture suffer greater pesticide exposure than other children. The aim of the Toxicology in the Classroom CD is to raise awareness among young students about potential adverse effects of chemicals and help reduce careless use of pesticides.

This training will help provide basic understanding of toxicology and awareness of the need for protective and precautionary measures to avoid adverse effects on human beings and the environment.

The training is in English.
