Tunza for Youth - United Nations Environment Programme
Mandate & Guidelines
of TUNZA Youth Advisory Council

COMMUNICATION GUIDELINES

These guidelines seek to establish a framework through which the members of the UNEP Tunza Youth Advisory Council can communicate.

Email

The bulk of discussion is to be conducted via email using a private email group, to which only current Advisors and Associate Advisors of the UNEP Tunza Youth Advisory Council are to be subscribed. Discussions are to be kept private, and decisions can be communicated to UNEP and other stakeholders as required.

In the interests of bandwidth, simple text should be sent through in the body of all emails to the email group. Email attachments are not to be sent unless formatting is complex and requires a special file format in order to present information correctly.

Public Statements

Public responses to issues that affect the UNEP TYAC as a whole are to be developed and announced by the group as a whole. This should not be interpreted as restricting the capability of any individual member to provide factual background information, comment on domestic or regional matters that are not of concern to the UNEP TYAC as a whole, or clarify or restate existing policy on any issue.
