Consultation on Enhancing Major Groups Participation at UNEP’s Governance Level
Second Round of Consultations

The second round of consultations on the guidelines involved a peer review of the Guidelines and also and an open electronic consultation with the major groups from September 2007 to February 2008. The document was further presented during the Regional Consultation Meetings that took place in the six regions (Asia and the Pacific, Africa, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, North America and Western Asia) where it was discussed and recommendations made. A final draft was then presented at the Ninth GCSF in Monaco in February 2008 and approved by the Forum.
