The
8th Global Civil Society Forum
The 8th GCSF was held in Nairobi, 3 - 4 February 2007, prior to the 24th Session of the Governing Council/Global Ministerial Environment Forum (Session/Forum), 5-9 February 2007. Gender, Water, Chemicals Management, Millennium Development Goals, Globalisation, Ecosystem Services and Human well-being were key issues and subjects considered during the discussions and its regional preparatory meetings.
About 200 participants attended the 8th GCSF.

The Regional Preparatory Meetings
The regional meetings were the first step leading to the 8th GCSF. In the meetings, regional CSOs elaborated on their views and agreed on regional statements around the key issues. These regional statements were incorporated as information documentation of the Session/Forum.
