Doha Diaries

Daily updates from our youth representative at COP18, Yvonne Maigey, formerly the Tunza junior board representative for the Africa Region, before graduating to the Tunza Youth Advisory Council (TYAC) as the Youth Advisor for the Africa Region.

Yvonne is a law school graduate and ICAP scholar from the London School of Economics and a recent MA graduate in environmental education and policy studies from New York University. Yvonne is currently pursuing a PHD in environmental history at Nairobi University. She was the Tunza junior board representative for the Africa Region, before graduating to the TYAC as the Youth Advisor for the Africa Region. Yvonne has also served as a youth editor for the AEO for Youth Publication, Tunza Workbook and several other UNEP publications

Yvonne will be attending the COP18 conference as a young person who has been involved in UNEP processes and negotiations from the age of 12. She will be moderating as well as presenting at two separate side events as well as ensuring the voice of youth is represented at the various plenaries. Yvonne will also be tweeting live from COP18 from @dizzeeyvo
