Royalty from Denmark, Sweden and Norway opened the pioneering Bright Green Expo, the Confederation of Danish Industry’s COP 15 parallel event, to 1600 visitors at the Forum in Copenhagen. More than 170 of the world’s leading companies are showing their cutting-edge climate solutions and climate experts and inventors.

Thousands of protesters rally around the world to call for an ambitious and effective climate deal
Copenhagen - 12 December 

Environmentalists from all over the world participated in a large scale demonstration on Saturday in Copenhagen calling for governments to seal the climate deal. In Copenhagen, host city of the ongoing UN negotiations, a six-kilometer march from the parliament building to the conference venue gathered an estimated 50,000 people. The protests continued into the evening turning into a small festival outside the Bella centre.

Bringing Climate Change Testimonies to the Heart of COP15

Using the power of touch-screen technology, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) launched in Copenhagen the UN Climate Wall, a high-tech installation of HP TouchSmart PC screens embedded with over 100 authentic testimonies and real-life stories describing how climate change is impacting the lives and livelihoods of populations around the world.
