Hundreds of cloth banners stamped and signed with vigour by Seal the Deal! campaign supporters are now on show to the world in Copenhagen. The banners form the walls of a giant Climate Maze erected in Kongens Nytorv Square in the centre of the COP 15 host city.

The hopes of Seal the Deal! campaign supporters and millions of other concerned citizens are contained in a shimmering silver sphere which arrived in Copenhagen yesterday on board the Climate Express. The 20cm sphere contains a 350 gigabyte mosaic of stories, voices, images and action on climate change collected from people around the world.

Cautious optimism that a new climate deal can be reached in Copenhagen was the overriding theme of the discussions on board the Climate Express, a symbolic train journey which carried more than 400 COP 15 delegates, civil society representatives and media from Brussels to Copenhagen on Saturday.

The Climate Express, an epic 9,000 kilometre-long train journey from Kyoto to Copenhagen, is now in Copenhagen bringing delegates to the UN Climate Change conference, which begins officially on Monday.
