As the only leasing company in Scandinavia, Autolease offers a unique web based solution where the customer can order and configure cars, look up tax on new cars and make economic calculations based on financing, operation and administration of the fleet. It is Autolease’s goal that it shall be easy as well as environmentally and economically profitable to lease company cars. At Autolease, they care about the environment. Therefore, they offer leasing of electric cars, CO2 neutrality of company fleets and courses on eco-driving. Last but not least, they advise their clients on how to optimise the car fleet in order to become more environmentally friendly and cost-efficient.
Strategy
Autolease sees climate change as one of the most significant global environmental issues and recognises the effort that is needed in order to combat climate change. Autolease advises and guides their customers to think about the environment when selecting a new car. Therefore, it is important for them to set an example themselves. Therefore, they decided in summer 2009 that Autolease should become climate neutral. Since then, they have focused on this goal and they are proud to say that they achieved this in March 2010.
Autolease has achieved the certification ‘climate neutral company’ through the company CO2focus. CO2focus has calculated Autolease’s carbon footprint for all operations according to The Greenhouse Gas Protocol. In 2009, the company’s total emission of CO2 was 69.5 tonnes of CO2 which is a continuous process. They continue to work towards reducing their emissions even more, through employee commitment and involvement, education in eco-driving, by reducing number of air flights by having digital meetings, etc. Each year, Autolease will calculate the company’s carbon footprint and compensate the residual emissions. Autolease recognises that this is a continuous improvement process. All employees are committed to contribute to reduce the size of Autoleases' carbon footprint.
