Strategy
Climact assists its customers in
- identifying and monitoring potential climate change impacts on the company’s operations and resources,
- assessing and reporting on GHG emissions,
- developing & implementing GHG reduction strategies, based on cost-abatement curves,
- offsetting through high-quality carbon offset credits,
- developing and submitting reports that are consistent and accurate,
- developing training programs for the management.
Climact has the expertise and experience to conduct initial assessments, provide full project documentation, identify, monitor and verify the GHG reductions.
What Climact does
Climact's highest contribution in reducing GHG emissions is through developing the adequate climate and GHG reduction strategies for their customers. However, they also walk the talk by:
- Using and promoting public transportation, bike and walk. Their offices and homes are located next to train stations/metro,
- reducing energy and switching to renewable energy,
- promoting heavily tele-working and online communication tools,
- reducing waste and recycling,
- offsetting non reducible emissions (mainly air travel) through CDM projects,
- encouraging their customers and their suppliers to adopt the adequate behavior,
- mobilizing the Climact Scientific Committee, chaired by the JP van Ypersele (IPCC/UCL).
