The roots of Grupo Vial Abogados extend back as far as 1819, when the renowned Chilean jurists, Agustín Vial S. and José Gabriel Palma V. first worked together. In 1938 was formally organized as a modern law firm, by Gabriel Vial P. and Alfonso Palma V.
To this date, Grupo Vial Abogados keeps excellent practice standards, using contemporary technologies and employing lawyers who have graduated from the Law Faculties of the most prestigious universities of Chile.
A number of the firm’s members also hold postgraduate qualifications from major European and North American Universities and have acquired extensive experience whilst working overseas for renowned law firms in the United States.
In addition, Grupo Vial Abogados maintains strong links and acts in conjunction with a foreign law firms based in North America, South America and Europe.

Strategy
In 2007 Grupo Vial Abogados offset CO2 emissions of 170 tons. Since that date, we have been promoting the offsetting of carbon emissions through our clients, contacts and companies. Our target is do the same every year, through First Climate company.
