- Their work and reporting are transparent and easy to comprehend and act upon.
- Confidence which comes from their professional skills and many years of experience.
They offer the following services:
- Advisory on carbon reduction strategy and measures.
- Energy reduction reports and strategies.
- Carbon footprint analysis with annual or half-year or quarterly update, depending on the company size.
- Advisory on PR and corporate social responsibility issues.
- Arrange internal and external seminars and workshops often in coorporation.
- Update client on relevant climate policy issues.
They use the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG) as a guideline for much of their Carbon footprint analysis including their own developed tools. This is integrated with the ISO and DS (danish standard) standards.
Strategy
Their aim is to provide the best in class advice and reporting when it comes to reducing energy consumption and carbon footprint. They achieve this not only by developing strategies and analysis, but by working with the companys' employees throughout the process from A to Z.
Inova Nordic has an internal policy which they implement to reduce their carbon footprint, and it is their core business to assist organizations –both public and corporations in Denmark by market capitalization, to reduce their own emissions voluntarily by working with key departments on viable mitigation strategies, then offsetting the rest through their portfolio of carbon credits.
With regard to their own internal strategy for climate neutrality, Inova Nordic is committed to:
Low Carbon Mobility:
- Their office has been located in the city centre, following an appraisal of staff mobility needs.
- Their staff commute to work and back on foot, bicycle or in mass public transport systems; the vast majority of trips for meetings with clients and partners can be done using videoconferencing or telephone.
- Their office has been located in an area with abundant support services (copy centre, IT equipment and accessories, major post hub, restaurants, etc), such that procurement services can be sourced locally.
Efficient energy use:
All electronic equipment and light are best in class when it comes to energy efficiency, they use hosting facility especially in class energy efficiency and have implemented a purchasing policy which is in force, and in which energy efficiency indicators are taken into consideration when selecting printers, computers, monitors, etc.
An energy efficient behavior policy is in place, with simple steps: equipment turned off when not in use, and at end of day (all, except unavoidable: faxes, server if necessary, kitchen refrigerator…)
Material / resource use and recycling:
The use of recyclable materials are a priority to INOVA Nordic. Office paper for internal printing is either from recycled pulp, or paper from suppliers certified under ISO14001. A comprehensive reuse recycle policy is in place: double sided printing is standard, and where possible, used paper is used for other purposes (eg. scrap books). The office has its own small recycling station, for paper and card, bottles and glass, and other containers. They also recycle batteries. There is a full municipal recycling station within 500metres of the office.
Offsetting for carbon neutrality:
INOVA Nordic, as a company promoting carbon offsets and neutrality, naturally leads by example. They offset 100 per cent of unavoidable emissions through their emissions reduction portfolio, and as such are CESA CO2 certified - CO2 neutral.
Communication:
In order to increase the environmental awareness in the society, Inova Nordic actively takes part in national debate and seminars concerning climate change, GHG emissions and carbon footprint reduction on products and organisations. They welcome new regulations and activities that will encourage businesses to consider addressing this issue and they intend to be a front runner on this.
