Procea supplies consultancy services to medium and large organizations and private held companies. It has also established the private initiative "KlimaNet" (ClimaNet), which provides an opportunity for smaller enterprises to implement and document environmental efforts.

KlimaNet is a pragmatic yet ambitious environmental management system and set of demands, which provide a unique opportunity for large organizations and companies to implement in their co-operations with suppliers. KlimaNet is tailored for responsible enterprises, wishing to operate in an environmentally sustainable manner. As a demanding buyer of both services and goods, enterprises engaged in KlimaNet will be provided with a supreme overview of their suppliers environmental efforts. To be a part of KlimaNet, suppliers initially will have to implement a series of basic action towards sustainable management and when completed, proceed with both selected and company-specific environmental actions and carbon reduction initiatives.

KlimaNet supports a systematic documentation of improvements and performance of engaged enterprises, both on individual and aggregated levels. The goal is clear: To provide opportunities for smaller enterprises to implement and practice high quality environmental management and supply them – and their customers – with detailed documentation.

ASSISTING A CHANGE

Climate change and managing carbon emissions are among the most significant challenges facing organisations globally today. Procea is committed to excellence, quality and leadership in all of its activities, and recognizes its responsibility to practice and promote behaviours that support activities which can contribute to environmental sustainability within their own and their customers’ enterprises, and are committed to decreasing their carbon footprint with the aim of becoming carbon neutral by no later than the end of 2013.

CURRENT ENVIRONMENTAL INITIATIVES

Currently, Procea is developing a pragmatic environmental management system, and as a natural step, Procea complies with the demands as listed in the programme. These include:

• Compliance to any relevant legislative demands and industry principles
• Handles any kind of waste according to any rules and best practice
• Full compliance to demands from the Working Environment Authorities
• An implemented company-specific and relevant environmental policy
• Producing an annually Greenhouse Gas Inventory
• Selection of multiple company-specific areas of potential environmental influences, and action towards a reduced environmental impact in these areas.
• Commit to a carbon footprint reduction target relative to level of activity.

THE ROAD AHEAD

As Procea was only founded in January 2010, the company does not have a history of carbon footprint. In the meantime, they comply with a series of strict policies, all focusing on their path to reaching carbon neutrality. The policies supplies guidelines for

• Demonstrate their environmental commitment to staff and cooperation partners
• Exercise own demands on suppliers
• Demonstrate their leadership in environmental sustainability. Their dedication to full policy compliance with secure Procea carbon neutrality no later than 2013.
