    THE ACME GROUP

About

ACME had its inception in 2003, through the vision of its founder, Mr. Manoj Kumar Upadhyay, who dreamt of providing radically new technology solutions, rather than making incremental changes to existing technologies. His focus was on solving problems that can save the energy, enhance the environment and benefit society.

ACME has pioneered the ‘Green Shelter’ concept, which is a complete package to fit various environment and temperature parameters at telecom sites. This unique shelter comes with an optimal cooling, power and thermal management system, avoiding the running of backup systems like diesel generators. The system reduces operational costs by as much as 40 percent as compared to conventional shelters and contributes towards reducing green house gas emissions. Every year, ACME products save around 2 million units of power and over 100 ML of diesel oil.

The ACME Group provides innovative green energy infrastructure solutions for global wireless telecommunications industry, cold chain systems, alternative energy, wastewater treatment and environmental impact solutions. Its' solutions and product portfolio have a wide range of usage beyond the telecommunications industry.

The Group has undertaken initiatives to provide revolutionary cutting edge, energy efficient solutions in other sectors as well. Its patented technology in thermal management provides cold chain and storage solutions for fruits, vegetables, vaccines, blood plasma, etc. which were hitherto dependant on DG set power to maintain temperatures during power failures.

Vision

Launch products / technologies that are Innovative and NOT simply incremental improvements to existing products / technologies.

Focus on solving problems that can:

  •      Save Energy
  •      Enhance the Environment
  •      Benefit Society

Design products that have a return on investment for customers in 15 to 24 months. Spawn synergistic businesses from our telecom core that have the potential to transform their respective industries

Mission

Our mission is to provide innovative solutions to customers using energy-efficient, environmentally-friendly and cost-effective methods.

Strategy

By 2012, ACME wants to be known globally as a provider of green solutions in the area of energy, environment and agriculture.

ACME has launched a slew of innovative, patented, passive infrastructure solutions that substantially assist in reducing greenhouse gas emissions which contribute to global warming.

Based on extensive research at Group facilities in Canada and the Czech Republic , ACME has broken new ground by undertaking a project to set up commercial fuel cell manufacturing (zero emission source of power), which will have widespread applications in residential, commercial and telecom sectors. This ‘clean energy’ venture will create new dimensions in distributed energy and again substantially assist in reducing greenhouse gases.

In 2006, ACME presented a carbon credit mandate of $30-40 million to the Kenyan Ministry of Environment & Forests. By saving energy of 2 kW per hour at each site, 1.6 kg of carbon per hour is being saved. With over 60,000 sites using this technology, more than 840,960 tonnes of carbon is being saved each year.

The company has also undertaken initiatives to provide cutting-edge solutions in other sectors, where its patented technology in thermal management is providing revolutionary cold chain and storage solutions.

ACME has also developed unique water treatment facilities by developing technologies that transform sewage and other effluents into usable water. The system is based on using organic bacterial processes as well as non-toxic and non-hazardous chemicals, drastically cutting down energy consumption through patented processes.
