PAST EVENTS
1. The First CN Net Virtual Conference (2009)
The First Climate Neutral Network (CN Net) Virtual Conference, organized by the United Nations Environment Programme in collaboration with the City of Arendal, was held in conjunction with the Global Climate Week (21-25 September), on 25th September, 2009. The conference presented the first online knowledge - sharing opportunity for 160-plus CN Net participants around the world, including countries, regions, cities, major companies, leading NGOs, universities and UN agencies.
It also provided an update on the state of play in the climate negotiations less than 80 days before the crucial Copenhagen conference where world leaders must Seal the Deal on a comprehensive new agreement that puts the global economy onto a low-carbon path.
Among other things, the 3 hour conference presented best practices in moving towards climate neutrality in the transport sector and provided a forum to discuss standards and criteria for climate neutrality.

2. The Second CN Net Virtual Conference (2011)
The Climate Neutral Network (CN Net) is pleased to announce its Second Virtual Conference (18 October 2011), organized by the United Nations Environment Programme in collaboration with the City of Arendal.
The conference presents the second online knowledge-sharing opportunity, after the first CN Net webinar that was held in late 2009, for over 270 CN Net participants around the world, including countries, regions, cities, major companies, organizations, leading NGOs, universities and UN agencies.
The conference will be an opportunity to share CN Net successes and challenges. Most importantly, It will enable the participants to discuss a range of issues concerning the continuity and ongoing viability of the CN Net programme. We strongly encourage CN Net participants to use this opportunity as a platform to share their experiences with other members as well as raise any issues.
