A presentation of the WCD report was given in Sao Paulo on 27 November 2000.
A presentation about the WCD´s Final Report was given at the XIV Meeting of the Brazilian Society of Icthyologists, which took place in San Leopoldo, on 7-12 January, 2001. The presentation was made at a special session held on dams, environment, and fish interactions, co-sponsored by the World Fisheries Trust. Over 50 fish specialists from Brazil, plus various other specialists from Austria, Canada, USA, Argentina, and the UK attended the session.
The National Water Agency (ANA), agreed to join the Dams and Development Forum
