Harmonisation of MEA Negotiating Positions in Central America

In Central America, the Central American Commission on Environment and Development (known by its Spanish acronym CCAD) has assisted its Member States in preparing for MEA meetings and negotiations. CCAD convenes the National Focal Points of the respective MEAs in Technical Committees. These Committees meet to discuss and harmonize negotiating positions before COPs, SBSSTTA meetings, or Working Group meetings. CCAD has Committees on Climate Change, Desertification, Biodiversity, Chemical Substances, and CITES.

For more information, see http://www.ccad.ws or contact CCAD at rrodríguez@sgsica.org or snieto@sgsica.org
