Involvement of NGOs in Preparing for MEA Negotiations in The Gambia

In The Gambia, NGOs are members of committees, boards, task forces, and working groups on many environmental issues. The Government also nominates NGOs and other members of civil society to attend national and international workshops and meetings. In many instances, NGOs and other members of civil society participate in meetings to assist the Gambian Government in preparing for negotiations.
