The Global Ecolabelling Network (GEN)

Founded in 1994, the Global Ecolabelling Network serves as platform for exchange of information on national labelling activities around the world. GEN includes 28 States and international organizations as members. It provides advice and assistance in establishing national ecolabelling systems. It also seeks to foster better networking among existing systems, for example by developing common core criteria for products covered by the Nordic Swan (Scandinavia), the Japanese Ecomark, and the German Blue Angel.
