Financial support of the participation Dear colleagues of the organizing committee, As indicated in the second announcement of the Forum, some limited financial resources are available to support the participation of developing countries. I am Moroccan researcher in the field of Water quality and the Environment mainly focusing on the Hydraulic basin of Sebou in Morocco. Thus, I am very interested by the participation to this important meeting, but I lack of financial resources covering the participation costs (travel, accommodation…). I need to present my application for the financial support offered by the organizers of the Forum. So, I will greatly appreciate more information on how and to whom I must present my application. Re: Funding to attend the First International Environment Forum for Basin Organisations Dear Sir/Madam, I have seen notice regarding the First International Environment Forum for Basin Organisations to be held in Bangkok, the Kingdom of Thailand, 26-28 November 2014 and I am wondering whether I can get financial support from UNEP to attend. I am an expert in International Water Law based in Kampala, Uganda and I have worked with the United Nations Office for Project Services Nile Basin Initiative Water Resources Planning and Management Project in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia as a Senior Operations and Contract Management Officer. In October, 2011 I was one of the speakers at the First International Environment Forum for Basin Organizations that was held in Bangkok, Thailand where I presented a paper “The 1997 United Nations Conventions on the Law of Non-Navigational Uses of International Water Courses: An African Perspective” . Unfortunately the conference ended prematurely because of floods in Bangkok. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you, Sincerel

Working at UNEP Dear sir/madam, I'm a middle school student and I'm very interested in participating environment protection. I think that protecting environment may conflict with economy development. So I want to study in economy and environment. Would it be helpful for me to work at international organizations such as UNEP in the future? Thank you for your kind response in advance. Copy of UNEP 2013 agreement with INTOSAI - Working Group on Environmental Auditing (WGEA) I am a PhD student at the Australian National University (ANU), Canberra. I am undertaking research on performance auditing in the environmental field undertaken by the supreme audit institutions (SAIs). Through your press release dated Nairobi, 09 September 2013, I have come to know that UNEP has signed a new agreement with INTOSAI-WGEA to track progress towards the implementation of international environmental agreements. For my research, I need a copy of this agreement. I would appreciate if you could send me a PDF copy of the 2013 UNEP INTOSAI-WGEA agreement. Further, on this matter, I would like to investigate: • What have been the drivers for the UNEP signing agreement with INTOSAI to track progress towards the implementation of international environmental agreements? • Why was INTOSAI preferred over the existing compliance/review mechanism in these agreements? • How will INTOSAI-WGEA audits contribute to the overall goal of UNEP to develop and facilitate intern
