To coincide with the designation by the UN General Assembly of 2014 as the International Year of Small Island Developing States (SIDS), the theme of the International Day for Biological Diversity 2014 will be 'Island Biodiversity'

Africa Asia Inter-regional Meeting on Enforcement of Environmental Law - 19 - 22 May 2014 Beijing, China

The meeting was organised by DELC in collaborate with the Ministry of Environment Protection of China through the China ASEAN Centre of Environmental Cooperation (CAEC) and will involve selected countries from Africa and Asia (South-east Asia and Central Asia) for the purpose of strengthening compliance and enforcement of environmental law, including multilateral environmental agreements.
