The knowledge base has been developed as resource to support the development
of capacity in intergrated environmental assessment and reporting (IEA)
and state of the environment reporting in Africa. It is targeted at governments,
universities, research institutions, NGOs and the public to:
- Promote the development of intergrated environmental assessment and
reporting as a tool for effective environmental management and development;
and
- Increase access to the valuable information contained in the state
of the environment and related reports provided by a variety of African
and global institutions.
