A plan to develop a biodiversity corridor across the border between Cote d'Ivoire and Liberia will be part of key discussions to be held in Abidjan next week in cooperation with organizations including the United Nations and the Wild Chimpanzee Foundation.

Key tools to help countries adapt to climate change will be developed at the World Climate Conference-3 (WCC-3), which will take place in Geneva from 31 August to 4 September. A project, testing advanced seismic and drilling techniques in Kenya, uncovered wells of steam able to generate 4-5 Mega Watts (MW) of electricity and one yielding a bumper amount of 8MW. The project is carried out by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the Global Environment Facility (GEF), in cooperation with the Kenyan power company KenGen.
