Segbedzi Norgbey: Chief Evaluation and Oversight Unit

Responsibility:

Direct and manage the Evaluation and Oversight Unit; provide strategic advice to ED, DED and SMG on evaluation; contribute to policy formulation through evaluation and management studies; contribute to effective management by proposing solutions through analysis of evaluation results; facilitate the engagement of the GC and the Secretariat in systematic reflection and programme review

Manage evaluation work and provide guidance to staff; periodically update UNEP evaluation policy, procedures and strategy; develop and implement UNEP's Evaluation biennial programme; develop and implement evaluation methodologies; follow up, manage and report on evaluation recommendations; function as member of Project Approval Group; Facilitate, participate and manage evaluations, which are United Nations General Assembly and Governing Council requirements; facilitate and participate in sub-programme and divisional evaluations; submit these evaluations to OIOS as a requirement of the United Nations General Assembly; prepare UNEP's input to the Secretary-General's Evaluation Report to the General Assembly; prepare and submit Annual Evaluation Reports to the Governing Council; JIU and OIOS Focal Point.
