Policy Responses

As a result of the survey findings, a number of responses were implemented towards the conservation of forests. They include:

• Destruction of all marijuana fields in the Aberdares;
• Additional forest guards posted around the Aberdares;
• Further support to the fencing of the Aberdares;
• Additional forest area considered to be fenced, such as Kipipiri Hill;
• Development of a Management Plan.
