Environmental Considerations On Board
Energy
 The
Tara team is working towards reducing energy consumption,
specifically hydrocarbons, for the Tara Arctic 2007-2008
expedition. During the Arctic drift, Tara will use four
wind turbines that produce 6KW/hour as well as sun panels
(40 square meters), which produce the same energy.
